The first symptom was water leaking indoors
During cooling and dehumidifying, condensate should leave the indoor unit through the drain hose. Because water was appearing indoors, the inspection followed the drainage route from the unit to the outdoor outlet.
A check valve was fitted to the outdoor drain hose
A transparent check valve was installed partway along the outdoor hose. These valves can help reduce the entry of outside air or insects, but accumulated debris can also restrict drainage.
The removed valve contained a visible blockage
After the valve was removed, debris was visible inside it, as shown in the photo. The restricted passage prevented condensate from draining smoothly and caused water to back up toward the indoor unit.

Stop the air conditioner and protect flooring and furniture first. From outdoors, visually check the hose outlet and any valve along the route. Do not disassemble the indoor unit or force tools into the hose. Arrange an inspection if the cause is unclear or leakage continues.
